I. Product Working Principle
The high-temperature downhole progressive cavity pump (PCP) is a new type of positive displacement oil production equipment specially developed by Shengli Highland Company for high-temperature and harsh complex downhole working conditions in oilfields. It overcomes the high-temperature resistance limitations of conventional PCPs and features excellent working condition adaptability and operational stability, widely applicable to oil production operations in various deep high-temperature oil wells. The core components consist of a high-precision eccentric metal rotor and a fixed special rubber stator. Relying on the precise and controllable interference fit between the rotor and the stator, multiple evenly arranged, mutually isolated and fully enclosed independent sealing cavities are formed inside the pump. These isolated cavities deliver excellent sealing performance, laying a solid structural foundation for leak-free enclosed transportation of downhole media. During operation, the surface drive unit drives the rotor to perform continuous and stable eccentric rotation inside the stator via the sucker rod. With the continuous circular motion of the rotor, the enclosed sealing cavities inside the pump axially and uniformly move from the pump inlet to the outlet. Throughout the displacement process, the cavity volume remains constant and fully sealed, steadily carrying complex fluids such as crude oil, oil-gas mixtures and high-sand heavy oil for axial transportation and continuous pressurization. The unique positive displacement working principle fundamentally eliminates common problems of traditional pumping units and centrifugal pumps, including fluid pulse impact, turbulence disturbance and drastic pressure fluctuation. It ensures stable and uniform medium transportation with constant output displacement, avoiding impact and wear on downhole casings, formations and pump structures, thus effectively extending the service life of the equipment. Supported with the company’s self-developed special high-temperature resistant stator rubber formula, the pump solves the industry pain points of conventional rubber stators such as softening, deformation, failure and sealing leakage under high-temperature conditions. It can operate continuously and stably in downhole environments up to 170℃, and is compatible with complex working conditions involving heavy oil, high sand content and high gas content, perfectly meeting the long-term and continuous production requirements of various deep high-temperature oilfields

- Self-developed High-temperature Resistant Stator Rubber Formula: The core stator adopts Shengli Highland Company’s independently developed special high-temperature resistant rubber formula, optimized through multiple rounds of high-temperature aging, pressure resistance and wear resistance tests. Different from ordinary commercial rubber materials, it delivers outstanding high-temperature resistance, thermal aging resistance and thermal deformation resistance. It can stably operate under two grades of extreme downhole high-temperature conditions of 150℃-170℃ and 180℃-220℃ without softening, expansion, cracking or sealing failure. The stable cavity sealing performance greatly reduces equipment failure rates, thoroughly solving the bottleneck of conventional PCPs failing to adapt to deep high-temperature oil wells.

The constant-volume cavity conveying structure effectively avoids medium stagnation, conveying jamming and uneven displacement, ensuring continuous, efficient and stable production of high-temperature heavy oil wells.
- Superior Sand Resistance Suitable for High-sand and High-temperature Wells: The self-developed special rubber stator possesses good elastic compliance and wear resistance. In high-temperature downhole environments with sandy media, its elastic buffering effect avoids rigid wear on the pump body caused by sand particles, effectively reducing common faults such as sand jamming, rotor and stator wear and sealing failure. It can operate stably for a long time in complex wells with both high temperature and high sand content, significantly improving the production continuity of such wells.
- Excellent Anti-gas-lock Performance for Oil-gas Mixed Transportation: The unique enclosed cavity structure completely eliminates gas lock failures, enabling stable transportation of oil-gas mixtures under high-temperature coexisting oil and gas conditions. The equipment can maintain normal operation even when free gas exists at the pump inlet, with only slight fluctuation in volumetric efficiency. Compared with other oil production equipment, it presents outstanding adaptability and operational stability in high-temperature and high-gas-content oil wells.
